LO1: Examples of existing magazines

I like these front covers because the colours contrast each other and stand out on the pages, the pictures are very striking and portray the icons as important. This is due to the main article being based on this person. Also I like the fonts that have been used. They are very visually pleasing and easy to read.

I am looking to pastiche the style of images and fonts from these front covers. This is because the images and fonts are eye catching and grab the readers attention, which is something I am looking to do with my cover.

I like these cover pages because there is always a large, impactful image screaming at you, the images have little details that the user can work out, like Kendrick Lamar wearing the crown giving the impression that he is 'the king of rap'. I also like the colour scheme that is used. The clothes that the artists are wearing always compliment the background of the page.

I am looking to pastiche the way the text is layed out and how the images are presented from these because the text is always organised in columns, making it easy to navigate down the page and the images are aesthetically pleasing and different.
